Already seen on the wrists of Olympique de Marseille players, Swiss haute horlogerie brand Parmigiani is continuing its adventure with France's most famous football club - and 2010 Champions Trophy winners - by becoming the team's official timekeeper.

With victories this May in both the French Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue 2010, Olympique de Marseille chose haute horlogerie brand Parmigiani to reward the OM players and staff for achieving this fantastic double. Bringing Swiss-made expertise to the wrists of the France 2010 champions, Parmigiani decided to make a long-term commitment to the club by entering into a new partnership agreement, thereby becoming OM'S firts official timekeeper.

Already highly committed to promoting excellence and creativity within a number of international schools,Parmigiani wanted to forge a close and symbolically strong link with the young talents at OM, by creating a "Parmigiani Spirit Award". With Didier Deschamps as patron, it will be dedicated to the footballing stars of the future. Combining sport and culture with education, the "Parmigiani Spirit Award" will reward a young player's sporting qualities and team spirit, as well as a good academic record - a fundamental part of any genuinely successful career. Awarded by a jury made up of teachers and young sportsmen from OM, the winner will need to have shown a positive state of mind throughout the season, combining effort with a sense of camaraderie. The reward will be a watch engraved with the winner's name, chosen from the Parmigianicollection. The "Parmigiani Spirit Award" will be presented at the end of the 2010-2011 season. Equally committed to all upcoming young talents, alongside this prize Parmigiani will be giving a substantial grant to the training centre for OM's young footballers.

Honoured to join the inner circle of OM's partners, Parmigiani is looking forward to sharing this new sporting adventure with its customers and the brand's many followers. In addition to increased visibility both on the pitch and via the various communication channels offered by this new partnership with OM, Parmigiani will also hold a VIP box for the year, a privileged area which will allow the brand to welcome football fans from around the world.
