Tender is the night

Inaugurated in 2007 with an Haute Joaillerie collection, the Millenary Précieuse line is now enriched with a range of timepieces for evening wear. The oval Millenary case is still there, but surrounded in these models by gem-set rings that are extended by a silky satin strap. Two types of gem-setting are available in order to shine when the clock strikes midnight. The first is a study in understated purity. Crafted in white gold and worn on a black satin strap or in pink gold on beige-coloured satin, these highly elegant jewellery watches radiate inimitable touches of Art Deco charm. Faithful to the Millenary identity codes, their dial alternates between Arabic and Roman numerals. The second is more provocative: its diamond bubbles catch the gaze, sparkling on the mother-of-pearl dial with its offset disc, and spill over onto the wristband rings. The exquisite femininity of these creations is enhanced by satin straps moulding the wrist and complemented by an oval gem-set buckle. Beneath their precious exterior, these beauties beat to the rhythm of a superbly made mechanical hand-wound movement – because women love to keep in active touch with time and to accentuate the beauty of the passing hours.

Blooming gems

The Millenary Précieuse jewellery line sublimates the collection’s characteristic oval motif. The polished surfaces play with diamonds and create a radiantly luminous effect. While the interlacing oval shapes are grain set, closed setting forms tiny buds that are lightly scattered over all the jewellery creations. Ring, choker and earrings thus radiate the innocent beauty of an imaginary freshly picked flower. Airy motifs held by a delicate diamond-polished chain, supple interlacing patterns reminiscent of a Japanese cherry tree: this jewellery is a stylized interpretation of the plant kingdom, crafted like lace to dress the body while providing tantalizing glimpses of the skin beneath and revealing a startling sensuality.
