The homeland of JEANRICHARD is registered to the World Heritage of UNESCO.

JEANRICHARD greets the registration of the cities of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds to UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The candidate file had been submitted in 2007 for these two cities considered examples of symbiosis between city-planning and the watch making industry. The World Heritage Committee is therefore adding a new Swiss site to the list of cultural and natural properties of universal value.

The brand is profoundly attached to this region and to its architecture marked by the activity of watch making. The name JEANRICHARD is anchored in the region since the 17th century: its origins are linked to one of the founders of the watch making industry in the mountains of Neuchâtel, Daniel JeanRichard. The Manufacture is installed at the heart of La Chaux-de-Fonds, in a building dating back to the beginning of the 20th century and representative of this industrial architecture. This registration will contribute to protecting and promoting a unique patrimony of art, city-planning, architecture and industry for generations to come.
