The new Certina DS Prince is the result of a brilliant collaboration between Certina's engineers and watch designers. Without compromise or reserve, it brings the brand's highest art and finest know-how into a timepiece where creativity and technology strike a perfect note. Sovereign in every way, the DS Prince is instantly remarkable, thanks to a bold sport-classical style that is full of personality. Its notably robust satin-finished watch case is accented by a cleverly polished bezel that brings contrast and harmony to the tall bracelet anchoring horns. The dial draws instant attention, challenging the onlooker with a decidedly sporty temperament. Against a silver-colour background, the dial face is set with raised and profiled indexes and a bold, unequivocal top-side number 12. The hour and minute hands, as well as the indexes, carry the latest Superluminova treatment. The chronograph counters bespeak a direct, unmistakable influence by the latest motor sport instrumentation, in a truly superb layout where the 12-hour and 30-minute small counter hands sport the same red-colour finish as the main large-second indicator. The tachymeter markings rest along a raised sloping edge on the bezel for direct, clear examination. The reading of time and chronograph results is made all the more direct by the use of a sapphire glass window with anti-reflective coatings on both faces. The crown and pushbuttons – one of which is finished in black PVD – are generous in size and provide for effortless handling while adding a masculine and daring note to the total design. This overall effect is completed in the most tasteful of manners by an integrated brown leather watch strap which intimately contours the case with sensual precision, shutting out all space between the two. At the heart of the DS Prince is a top-of-the-line Valjoux ETA 7753 movement, whose self-winder – inscribed with the Côtes de Genève – and blue-tinted screws can be savoured through the mineral glass watch-case back.

Other versions are also available, with a steel bracelet or sporting a black dial face.
