Bell & Ross BR01 Airborne 415 And 672 Skull Watches

By Ariel Adams for ViaLuxe.com

I recall when the Bell & RossAirborne BR01 watch was first announced around the time of Baselworld 2009 last year. It was immediately polarizing with some people lauding the original and unexpected design from Bell & Ross, while others abhorred what they said as an unintelligent and uncharacteristic design from Bell & Ross – either way the watch received a lot of attention. That was the original model and it was devoid of such luxurious decoration.

The Only Watch 2009 auction had a piece unique Bell & Ross BR01 Airborne watch studded with black diamonds, and using a black stingray strap. The interest for the watch was overwhelming, and Bell & Ross decided that the brand needed more of these wild looking watches. We now have two new limited edition Bell & Ross BR01 Airborne watches, each with different levels of diamond decoration that correspond to their names. Thus, the 415 has 415 diamonds on face, including black diamonds that outline the skull and crossbones, and white diamonds that cover the face. Stepping it up a notch is the 672 with a completely diamond covered face.

Some would say that the timing for the limited edition of 88 pieces each watch set is appropriate given the fact that Halloween is right around the corner. A perfect complement to that “too rich to worry” costume you’ve been planning for all year – though the watches may not be released in time. Each watch has a PVD black case that is 46mm wide with an automatic ETA 2892-A2 movement inside. You’ll see the stingray strap on the watch, but a rubber strap is also available. The limited edition timepieces will be available soon for those eager to get more skull action on their wrists.
