Born in 1973 and a French national, Arnaud Carrez will be taking up his new responsibilities as of January 1st 2010. He arrives at the head of the Swiss subsidiary having acquired significant experience in the field of national management.

After graduating in 1997 from the ESCP Europe Management School (formerly ESCP-EAP), Arnaud Carrez began his career with Cartier in Mexico, serving as a CSNE (national service overseas corporate volunteer, a form of civil service). At the end of his mission, he was hired by the subsidiary as Marketing and Communication Director. In 2001, he was recalled to the Cartier International headquarters in Paris, where he was put in charge of the European and Asian markets, as well as those of Latin America and the Caribbean. A year later, he was appointed principal private secretary to the President of Cartier International. The three subsequent years enabled him to acquire a global vision of the brand through a range of projects linked to image and design, marketing and communication, as well as production, distribution, the supply chain, as well as human resources.

In 2005, eager to return to the field, Arnaud Carrez accepted the job of Marketing and Communication Director for Cartier Japan. Japan is one of the brand’s key markets in terms of sales. He not only managed local implementation and development of all the marketing and communication strategies, but also supervised the corporate image by organising major exhibitions such as that of the Cartier Foundation at the MOT, the Tokyo Contemporary Art Museum; and the Cartier Collection at the Tokyo National Museum. Finally, he played an active part in launching Cartier’s first e-commerce site launched in Japan in 2008.

Arnaud Carrez is married and the father of a young daughter. He is also an accomplished athlete, a marathon runner and a former international-level rugby player with a special interest in photography.
