Davidoff, the Swiss luxury brand, is adding a new dynamic spirit to its watch collection first launched in 2008.

Following the successful launch of the “Very Zino” collection, Davidoff again skilfully combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative spirit, this time working with materials such as red gold and black PVD fi nish, as well as black rubber to propose an alternative to the traditional leather straps. A perfect fi t for the challenges of global travelling, the high-end timepieces captivate with functional complications such as Dual Time/Big Date and a Chronograph Second Time Zone/Indicator 24 hours. Swiss know-how at every stage of production ensures the impeccable quality and perfection that all Davidoff watches have in common.

Since 2008, Zino Davidoff Trading AG has been independently manufacturing watches, writing instruments, and leather goods under the new “Very Zino” lifestyle concept, after the reintegration of some of their licenses. At BASELWORLD 2009, a whole range of new products will be launched to strengthen the luxury accessories collections. New leather goods manufactured in Italy and the existing collection of writing instruments produced by German craftsmen are a harmonious addition to the overall concept.

“Very Zino” collection – younger inspiration, dynamic design and new functions

With its latest novelties Davidoff is adding different materials and new functions into its “Very Zino” watch collection. The designs and functions are inspired by the brand’s travel-oriented approach. Every feature speaks of connoisseurship and the passion to move through cultures and explore whatthe world has to offer.

Casual yet classy

The broadly-grooved black rubber gives these “Very Zino” watches a younger and more casual look. In combination with the bicolour/black dial, the gent models are presented in an innovative and fresh way. The sportiness of the new models with stainless steel strap is underlined by the black PVD dividing the polished and brushed steel. All gent watches feature a self-winding mechanical ETA movement with a 42-hour power reserve and a 44-mm case with a double-integrated sapphire case back. For cosmopolitan ladies, shimmering mother-of-pearl, white rubber, and stainless steel transform the designs into a youthful creation with feminine charisma. Select mother-of-pearl in delicate light blue, pink, or white decorates the exquisitely-crafted dials. All Davidoff ladies’ timepieces feature an ETA quartz movement, 35.5-mm case, and toric anti-refl ective sapphire glass.

Shimmering red gold

The “Very Zino” chronographs are being launched in 18-carat red gold with new balanced dials forming the oval to a perfect equilibrium. All Davidoff chronographs feature a self-winding mechanical ETA Valjoux 7750 movement with a 46-hour power reserve, and a 46-mm case with a double integrated sapphire case back. The “Very Zino” ladies’ collection will also feature red gold through four exquisite new designs with a feminine feel for time. The diamond setting of the gold oval combined with the shiny black of the satin strap and lacquered dial make a perfect evening companion.

Functional complications

A special “Very Zino” gent automatic model, boasting a volcanic-grey dial offers two new integrated functions: Dual Time and a Big Date display. In order to incorporate these functions in the gent automatic, a new and more robust 45-mm case has been designed for the modifi ed self-winding mechanical ETA 2892A2 movement. The “Very Zino” chronograph “Traveler” featuring a Second Time Zone with 24-hour display is designed in the
same spirit.
